Help Your Intense Children SOAR!
SOARSupport, a monthly support group for parents of intense children, meets the 3rd Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Frays Mill campus. Facilitator fee is $10 for one parent or $15 per couple. Child care will be available for a nominal caregiver fee. The group is open to the public, specifically for parents dealing with the particular challenges of raising intense children across the spectrum (ADD, ADHD, ODD, and OCD). Focus is on resource sharing, maximizing children’s potential, and rebuilding family harmony. Please contact Electra Davis at 326-5646 or edjd374@hotmail.com for further info.e.
Game Night is for teens and adults with special needs. We play games, fellowship, socialize, have fun activities, have a devotion, and EAT! Everyone who comes should bring a favorite treat. We meet every month October through May on the first Friday of the month from 6:30 to 9:00 in the Missions Hall on the Frays Mill campus. Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Registration is not required; however, it is helpful to ensure there is not a change in schedule and most appreciated for planning purposes. Take a Break, meets every month October through May on the first Saturday of the month. Registration is required each month, but application forms need to be filled out only one time unless basic information changes. Take a Break occurs at the Frays Mill campus on the 2nd floor and in the Missions Hall, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. each time. Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Dear Spring Hill Baptist Special Needs Ministry-
We are so thankful for your care for our children last night! We have so very few people who love and care for our children, and we do get weary of the 24 hr. day in and day out care for them. Our marriage was strengthened last night by the time you gave us to be together alone while our children were safe and playing happily.
Thank you for your ministry to us even though we don’t attend your church. Thank you for loving our kids!
