Berry's Update - July 27, 2007

Wasuze Otyanno (Good Morning) , everyone. Wow, we are quickly becoming more comfortable in our home and our city. All four of us are learning more and more Luganda everyday, which the Ugandan's really seem to appreciate. We make lots of mistakes, but the local's laugh and then they help us to learn. We thank God for all of you that are praying for us, and we thank God for all of the answered prayers. This past Wednesday, I was invited to preach at a house church in an area called Kawuku. It is a village area south of Kampala near Lake Victoria. There were about 50 men, women, and children there, and it was a great time of praising and worshiping God together. Walker went with me and took some photos, you can see a few on my blogsite at www.berrys-africa.blogspot.com, be sure to check it out. We spent the rest of the week visiting with various local pastors, and becoming known among some of the church leaders.

Prayer Request:
Open hearts to hear the gospel
Obedience of new believers
Safety on the roads
Continued good health

We love you all and really appreciate your prayer support.
Feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions, I will update you all again soon, your brother, Andrew Berry.

Andrew & Christina Berry have returned to Uganda!

Their most recent update follows:

God has blessed our family once again with the opportunity to return to Uganda. We had nine team members from three states. We were there to work with and help IMB missionaries evangelize, witness, share, preach, and plant new house churches.

We worked with International Missionaries for Christ to facilitate church planting movement by conducting small group bible studies, house churches, weekly celebration services, and baptisms. We were also able to participate in and assist with a food distribution at perhaps the largest refuge/internally displaced people area in Kampala.

The financial gifts that were given to fund this were incredible; and the opportunity to be there and be part of it was unbelievable. We that God every day for what He is doing with us and in Uganda. We ask that you pray for our Ugandan brothers and sisters and the missionaries that live there…that God would bless their lives, families, ministry, and country.

Kotonda Mulungi Ekisera Kyonna (God is good all the time).
