Children's Ministry

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14

SHBC Families,

Are you ready for a fun Family Event? Announcing Family Game Day!

Join us for a fun afternoon of games and activities at the barn at Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, January 23, at 2:00 PM. Each family will be a team that works together to win prizes as we have fun and fellowship with one another.

During our games, the doors will be open, and we can use the heaters if it is chilly.
This promises to be a fun time for all. We can have a fun time and encourage one another as we play.

Please let Chris know if you plan to attend, so we can be sure to have plenty of supplies and prizes. We are looking forward to spending time with our families and having fun together.

We request you wear a mask for most of the event. We will observe distance guidelines and request you not participate if you are not feeling well or believe you may have been exposed to COVID 19.

This Week in the Children's Ministry

As our children learn about how amazing Jesus is, and how we must be responsible and care for what we have been given here on earth. I think about how we can teach these concepts. As parents, we can help our children learn to be responsible by giving them small tasks and helping ensure they do as they should with guidance. We can also be examples of faith. We can be sure to pray with them and for them. We can have a family devotion time so they can hear you speak God’s words to them.

Proverbs 22:6
"Start children off in the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

Proverbs 22:6
"Start children off in the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

1 Thessalonians 3:12
"May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you."

Our elementary lesson this week is about the parable that Jesus told of the bags of gold (Matthew 25:14-30). What are you doing with what you have been given?

TRUTH: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

BOTTOM LINE: Love God, Love Others.

MEMORY VERSE: "
Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large." (Luke 16:10)

In this week's preschool lesson we are reminded that Jesus’ miracles are amazing! This week we will read about the fishing day that was a failure. That day turned into the best catch ever because of Jesus (Luke 5:1-10).

BOTTOM LINE: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

PRE-K MEMORY VERSE: “Everyone who heard him was amazed.” (Luke 2:4)

I want to remind you that I am always available for you and your children. If you ever need to talk, or I can be of help with something, please let me know.
If you or someone you know needs help, please let one of us at the church know. Our church cares about each of you, and our community.

Joyfully,

Chris Marcoguiseppe

Partnering with Families
Our desire is to provide a setting for families to develop a consistent, growing relationship with Christ.  The children’s ministry team at Spring Hill Baptist Church is committed to partnering with families to connect and grow as we go together on God’s Great Adventure. The average church has only about 40-60 hours of potential influence with kids each year, the average parent/caregivers have potentially over 3000 hours of influence. To plant God's truths in our children's hearts we must work together. We’ll make this vision possible by:
  1. Building relationships with students and families.
  2. Providing hands-on mission opportunities.
  3. Strengthening  faith development in children and families.
  4. Provide affordable safe environment for family fun.
.
We are grateful for the opportunity to walk with your family. For more information about our small groups for children or outreach activities connect with Christy Ferguson
