We Are A Multi-Site Church
We are Spring Hill Baptist Church, yet we meet at more than one location. We share a common staff, membership, constitution and bylaws, and budget.
Frays Mill
Spring Hill Frays Mill has been a place of worship in this community for 154 years. At the same time, it has been a new place of worship in the last 5 years with the addition of two services.
There are three worship services at Frays Mill. 8:15 AM and 9:30 AM are praise and worship, 11:00 AM is led by our sanctuary choir. At 9:30 AM there is Bible Study/Sunday School for all ages.
Frays Mill is a community place. There is a great playground on the campus and the buildings are used often by community groups. Our 122 year old sanctuary might remind you of worshipping with your grandparents. When you join us for any of the 3 services you might find yourself sitting by someone whose grandparents helped build the church or you might sit by someone who moved into the community last week. Everyone is welcomed!
Spotswood
Spring Hill Spotswood meets each week at Ruckersville Elementary School on Route 33 between Ruckersville and Stanardsville. The transformation from cafeteria to worship space each week is a sight to behold! We are a congregation excited to live out our faith through service and are eager to be an asset to our community.
We are a "family-friendly" church. We welcome children - a little noise doesn't bother us! Come early for coffee, stay after to get connected. We'll save you a seat!
9:45 – Enjoy coffee, juice, fruit and pastries (We make every attempt to be a peanut-free environment!) This is a time to get to know each other better as we share a little hospitality.
10:00 – The baby room for infants is open and Sunday School for preschoolers taught by trained Children’s workers begins
10:00 – The service begins with music led by the worship band followed by our weekly message
During our 10:00 a.m. service, we encourage children and parents to participate in worship together. Following the music portion of the service, elementary children break into smaller groups where they are taught a Biblical message at an age appropriate level, while their parents enjoy the sermon. Children rejoin their parents at the end of the service for our closing music.
The first Sunday of each month is our Family Worship service. The baby room and one’s room are still open if needed, but we encourage the whole family to worship together. We are a child friendly service. Please note that we’re not bothered by children making noise. We serve communion at this service as well.
At Spotswood, we offer preschool classes, children’s classes, youth small group, and various Adult small group studies. We are a mission minded congregation with on-going events planned so we can be an asset to our community and make an impact on our world.
