Love For All
Sharing the Good News of Jesus with all of His Children
All of God’s children were created by Him and are precious to Him!
All of God’s children need the opportunity to learn about and experience His love and grace!
We aim to minister to families and individuals touched by special needs by sharing God's love while providing support, prayer, mentoring, resources, fellowship, and opportunities to connect with Jesus.
Game Night is for teens and adults with special needs. We play games, socialize, celebrate birthdays, share devotions and EAT! We meet the first Friday of every month (except July) from 6:30-9:00 p.m. in the Family Worship Center at Spring Hill. Registration is not required, however, it is helpful for planning purposes and in the case of schedule changes.
Kidz Club is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade with special needs and their siblings. Each participant is paired with a buddy for a fun time of exercise on the playground, devotion, hands-on learning activities, games, legos, and a movie. It's also a chance for parents to head out and take a break for their own night of fun. Kidz Club meets October through May on the first Saturday of the month, 4:00-7:00 p.m., on the second floor Children's Wing. Registration is required each month as well as submission of an initial application form.
Eagle Club is for students with special needs in 6th-8th grade. We meet October through May on the first Saturday of the month, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Eagle Club participants gather at Spring Hill Baptist for a devotional time before embarking on planned adventures with their adult mentors. The group often heads offsite for fun activities such as bowling or miniature golf. Registration is required each month as well as submission of an initial application form.
Younger siblings of Eagle Club participants are welcome to be a part of Kidz Club, which meets at the same time.
Strength in Numbers
Strength in Numbers is an online support group for families in our community and surrounding counties to help each other find strength in daily life. Having a child with special needs is not an easy way of life, but it is something that we wouldn't change for anything. We want everyone to know that they are not alone in this world and that other parents and families have been there, and may be there right now. Join us, and you will find friends to help you through good times and bad. Think of Strength in Numbers as a "networking social group" - this isn't your "typical" support group!
Small Group Sunday School Classes
Small groups meet on Sunday mornings, 10:10-10:55 a.m. Shadows are available, on request, for any child with special needs who might need a “buddy” or “shadow” in order to be included in a preschool, children, or youth small group. We also have three self-contained classes for those with special needs where they can receive personal, individualized attention:
- Elementary class for grades 1-5
- Middle school & high school class for grades 6-12
- Adult class
These classes meet on the 2nd floor of the educational building and are located near handicap-accessible restrooms, an elevator and ramps.
Throughout the year, Spring Hill hosts many fun events for families. We encourage all friends to participate in inclusive opportunities including Spring Fling, Vacation Bible School, Trick or Trunk, Operation Christmas Child Packing Parties, and more. We are all part of God's big family!
