Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14
The Kids' Club children are learning that we can do big things! With God we can be strong, courageous and capable of sharing our faith or defeating a giant. No matter what we face, we can get through it if we have God on our side.
One way to bravely show others that you love God and believe in Jesus as His Son is through baptism. Do you know what baptism is? It is something you do to let others see that you are changed because you believe that Jesus is the Savior and Messiah. You have asked God to forgive your sins. How you think has been transformed and now you live for Him.
One of our courageous young men followed Jesus in baptism last Sunday. He stepped out in faith, followed Christ and was baptized at the pond. It was a beautiful time celebrating his faith.
If you or your child has accepted Jesus as their Savior and desires to follow the Lord in baptism, there will be another opportunity to be baptized in November in the Spring Hill sanctuary.
Isn’t it exciting to see our children at Spring Hill stepping out in faith and showing the world that they are following Jesus Christ? Congratulations to Brycen Jackson!
If you would like to read the account of John the Baptist and the day that he baptized Jesus in the Jordan River, it is found in the Bible, in Mark 1: 9-13.
If you have asked Jesus to come into your life and want to be baptized, please contact the church office or talk to one of the staff members. We will be happy to celebrate your faith with you.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
This Week in the Children's Ministry
In our Grades 3-5 lesson this week we will learn how Paul knew Timothy didn’t have to wait until he was older to make a difference, and we know that we don’t have to wait either. (1 Timothy 4:12, Acts 14–17; 1 Timothy 4:14, 1 Corinthians 4:17; 16:10)
TRUTH: I can trust God no matter what!
BOTTOM LINE: Knowing that you can make a difference now because Jesus changes how you see yourself.
MEMORY VERSE: "How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well." (Psalm 139:14)
In this week's Pre-K - Grade 2 lesson we will learn that God made me to help others, like when David helped Mephibosheth. (1 Samuel 20:14-17; 2 Samuel 9:1-13)
BOTTOM LINE: Who made you to do big things? God made you to do big things!
PRE-K MEMORY VERSE: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid...for the Lord your God goes with you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)
TRUTH: God loves me!

OPPORTUNITIES TO BRING HOPE, SHARE CHRIST, IMPACT THE WORLD
Do you like to serve others? Maybe you like to sing or act? Would you like to bring a smile to someone during the holidays? We have many opportunities for your family to serve others in our community.
Families can decorate a trunk, donate candy and give money that will go to the local food bank during Trick or Trunk. Your family can go to the grocery store together to purchase food for the Thanksgiving boxes. You can shop to fill a box for Operation Christmas Child. You can help your child have the courage to participate in a short program for those in a nursing home, and for those in your church family. We can help our kids use the superpowers they have with God.
Throughout the month of November in Kids' Club we will practice a short skit, learn two Christmas carols, and create ornaments to distribute to some nursing home residents on December 12 after Kids' Club, sharing the Christmas story, performing our skit, singing carols and leaving the residents with gifts of ornaments and candies.
In Kids' Club we are learning that God can change how we see ourselves, help us to be brave enough to make a difference, and show us what we can do to share the love of Christ in our community. Let's encourage and help our children be involved these opportunities so together we can make a difference in the world around us.
1 John 3:16
Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
Your family is very important to us, and the Children’s Ministry Team wants you to be happy with your child’s training and with the opportunities given. Please feel free to provide feedback and give any suggestions to improve your weekly experience.
We continue to need additional workers. Please pray for God to lead you to your place in serving Him.

Sunday Small Groups
We are so blessed at SHBC to have excellent children’s leaders. Our children are actively learning about the plans God has for them.
You may want to join our family small group. We currently meet in the Fellowship Hall at Spring Hill right after the 9:00 AM Worship Gathering, with the Kids' Club and parents' small groups meeting together at 10:00.
You can also find short videos on our Spring Hill Facebook page of each Sunday's lesson for grade school and an easy-to-understand Pre-K lesson presented by our puppet friend, Penny.
And if you prefer to worship online, check out our YouTube channel or our church website. We want to make it easy for you to connect with one another!
Partnering with Families
Our desire is to provide a setting for families to develop a consistent, growing relationship with Christ. The children’s ministry team at Spring Hill Baptist Church is committed to partnering with families to connect and grow as we go together on God’s Great Adventure. The average church has only about 40-60 hours of potential influence with kids each year, the average parent/caregiver has potentially over 3000 hours of influence. To plant God's truths in our children's hearts we must work together. We’ll make this vision possible by:
We are grateful for the opportunity to walk with your family. For more information about our small groups for children or outreach activities connect with Chris Marcoguiseppe.
