Children's Ministry
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14
Dear Families,
Do you want resilient children? Absolutely! In times like these, life can be confusing, upsetting, and can really get people down. Adults can feel they want to stay in bed and just stay down, but we must be able to move forward. Our kiddos need to be able to move ahead, even when they would rather hide at home and avoid the mess of life. Can we help them push on by being resilient? Yes, we can. We can teach them the Bible, pray for them and be an example of resilience. Children learn what they live. How do we respond in difficult times? Do we give in to anxiety or give our anxiety to God? Do we pray with our fellow believers and press on in faith, or do we fall apart? We can be the resilient example, but only by faith, prayer and help from our fellow believers. We all need a support system, and God gives us that. He gives us unity in the body of believers, those who will cry when we cry and rejoice when we rejoice. Our awesome God has supplied us with who and what we need to be resilient. 1 Corinthians 12:26-27 If one parts suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Thank you for being resilient! I continue to lift your families in prayer. Please pray with me that our children and their families will have a healthy and fun summer. Joyfully, Chris Marcoguiseppe Children's Minister Let's Get Social!

Playground Re-Opening Celebration
Sunday, June 12, 6:30-8:00pm You're invited! Come help us celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Spring Hill playground! Kona Ice will be our treat for you. Stop in, connect with others and stay to play for a while. Open to the community. June 27-July 1 Vacation Bible School
Family VBS at Dover-Foxcroft Farm or Virtual VBS Online! Are you ready to make waves that can ripple the love of Christ and the hope of salvation through our community? Here is your chance to meet our neighbors and bring them the good news of Jesus Christ and help change the world. Spring Hill's Virtual VBS will meet online via Zoom at 10:00 AM from Monday, June 27, through Friday July 1. Family VBS will meet at Dover-Foxcroft Farm each evening at 6:30 and close by 8:00 PM. We'll close out the week with a special VBS family event with a water celebration day on Saturday, July 2 for all of our VBS families! We will work together to “Make Waves” throughout our community by sharing the joy and love of Jesus. Will you be a missionary here at home? There are many opportunities to serve in this year’s VBS. We will need people to teach the Bible verse in fun and wet ways, leaders to go over the lesson from the Bible, team leaders to cheer on and direct each group. We need some coordinated people to help teach the songs and dance moves, people to help with making our daily crafts, and a welcoming and parking attendant. There will also be a need for someone to run the sound, act in the skits, and someone to collect food and money for the mission. Please pray about your part in this outreach. Check out our VBS page for details and registration. And share the link so your friends, neighbors and family members can join in the fun! Kids Challenge
Our next challenge will be inviting friends in June and July. For each friend children bring to church, they and the child they bring will get a prize. Whoever brings the most guests in those two months to small group will get a big prize! This coming Sunday I will ask our children if they have learned the Lord’s Prayer. (I know a couple of them have.) If they have learned it and only need a little help, I will have a special gift for them. |
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 6:16-18)

Sunday Small GroupsGrades K-5We are so blessed at SHBC to have excellent children’s leaders. Our children are actively learning about the plans God has for them.
You may want to join our family small group. We currently meet in the Fellowship Hall at Spring Hill at 10:00 AM right after the Worship Gathering in the sanctuary. You can also find short videos on our Spring Hill Facebook page and YouTube channel of each Sunday's lesson for grade school and an easy-to-understand Pre-K lesson presented by our puppet friend, Penny. And if you prefer to worship online, check out our YouTube channel or our church website. We want to make it easy for you to connect with one another! |

Partnering with Families
Our desire is to provide a setting for families to develop a consistent, growing relationship with Christ. The children’s ministry team at Spring Hill Baptist Church is committed to partnering with families to connect and grow as we go together on God’s Great Adventure. The average church has only about 40-60 hours of potential influence with kids each year, the average parent/caregiver has potentially over 3000 hours of influence. To plant God's truths in our children's hearts we must work together. We’ll make this vision possible by:
We are grateful for the opportunity to walk with your family. For more information about our small groups for children or outreach activities connect with Chris Marcoguiseppe. To get to know your family better please fill out this student information form. |
