Children's Ministry
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14
SHBC Families,
Have you ever watched our children play at church? I was watching their interaction this past Sunday. It filled me with joy as I saw them having conversations and playing with one another. They were all kind and patient with each other. Our children give me hope for future generations to find Christ. They are all different, have different things they like, yet have this in common. They have believers as parents, are learning about Jesus and how they should love others. This month’s lessons are about building bridges. A bridge can connect a large dividing point. As people, we have many things that can separate us from one another and from God. Jesus is the bridge that connects us. His death on the cross gives us connection to God through His sacrifice. His love can bridge the gap between us and someone we don’t agree with. May we all follow our children’s example for loving. Let’s look past our differences and build a bridge today. “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2) I hope you have had an enjoyable and peaceful Spring Break. “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Build a bridge today! Joyfully, Chris Marcoguiseppe Children's Minister BRING HOPE. SHARE CHRIST. IMPACT THE WORLD. |

This Week in the Children's Ministry
Our elementary lesson this week is about about living in peace with others (Colossians 3:15). TRUTH: I can trust God no matter what. BOTTOM LINE: God made peace with us. MEMORY VERSE: "So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build up one another." (Romans 14:19) |
In this week's preschool lesson we learn about the breakfast on the beach. Jesus and the disciples ate fish together after Jesus had risen from the tomb (John 21:1-14).
BOTTOM LINE: Who wants to be your friend forever? PRE-K MEMORY VERSE: “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” (Ephesians 3:18) Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more children's Bible stories with Mrs. Chris and Miss Penny!

Sunday Small GroupsGrades K-6We are so blessed at SHBC to have excellent children’s leaders. Our children are actively learning about the plans God has for them.
If your child is not active in a small group, we have options. You can request a link to the Zoom group that meets each Sunday at 10:30 AM and get the details on how to log in to one of our children's small groups online! Mrs. Christy and Mrs. Rhonda make this time educational, fun and interesting. If your student is in 5th or 6th grade, we are meeting at Dover-Foxcroft Farm at 10:00 AM by the firepit with Mrs. Lindsay and Ms. Kathy. This group has a great time while learning biblical truths and ways to apply them to their lives. If you have younger children, you may want to join our family small group. We meet just ouside the barn at Dover-Foxcroft, and the younger children will meet inside for a lesson, activity and a time to play together. If you are not ready to gather on Zoom or in person you can find short videos on our Spring Hill Facebook page of each Sunday's lesson for grade school and an easy-to-understand Pre-K lesson presented by our puppet friend, Penny. And if you prefer to worship online, check out our YouTube channel or our church website! We are striving to find ways to help you connect with one another. |
Partnering with Families
Our desire is to provide a setting for families to develop a consistent, growing relationship with Christ. The children’s ministry team at Spring Hill Baptist Church is committed to partnering with families to connect and grow as we go together on God’s Great Adventure. The average church has only about 40-60 hours of potential influence with kids each year, the average parent/caregiver has potentially over 3000 hours of influence. To plant God's truths in our children's hearts we must work together. We’ll make this vision possible by:
